Week 50 - Concert and Lottery Tickets

Another odd and eclectic week - Springsteen show #55, and the world's largest lottery drawing (no, we did not win).  Spent a day on Martha's Vineyard and got inspired by the weather and beach, as usual.  I also took a request to heart this week: A close friend, you know who you are, suggested I take a dog photo, which I did.

Week 49 - Spring 2012

I resisted taking a week of "Spring flowers" photos.  Only 1 this week. Flowers are popping up everywhere it seems, and Spring has arrived in full force, except I haven't heard of Striped Bass being caught on the Vineyard yet!

Two favorite photos this week for me.  The money shot, and the train.  If you haven't listened to Bruce Springsteen's "Land of Hopes and Dreams" song yet, you should.  A beautiful song, and I tried to capture the mood with this photo.

Week 47 - I Got a Lightbox

I think I took some interesting photos this week.  I recently purchased a light box with the goal of taking quality "product shots" without shadows.  Still learning, and the products I am taking pictures of are wine and fishing lures.  It's a pretty interesting setup:  a 2'x2' white flexible cube, and I focus some powerful photography lights into the box (through the sides).  The cube diffuses the light, it bounces around within the cube, giving good lighting and no shadows.
