Week 35 - Christmas and Tebowing, Go figure!

Lots of holiday photos this week.  I'm still loving colorful shots, and holiday decorations and lights are a welcome change from the many flower photos I've taken during this project.

The week ended with a bit of Tebow-mania hitting the E-Streeters Running Club.  Looking forward to the Patriots crushing the Broncos tomorrow.

Week 34 - Christmas in Edgartown

The Christmas season has begun - we've hung our wreath and bought our Christmas tree.  I expect most of December's photos to be holiday related, we'll see.  The end of this week we made it back to Martha's Vineyard for Christmas in Edgartown, which means a parade (best one yet this year!) and spending money in the local shops.

Week 33 - A Mix.

This was an interesting week for me with regards to photos.  For some reason, each day was a challenge to create a decent photo.  One day I saw a great dawn, but by the time I got in position, it was over (seconds count!).   There were several rejected shots/situations that I'm going to revisit in future weeks.  As the week came to a close, however, I found myself repeatedly looking at my selections and enjoying what I saw.  Bottom line, I really like my selected photos this week.  It's an eclectic mix, I hope you enjoy them too (but if you don't, there's always next week).

Here they are:

Day 231/December 3 -  Purple Flower

Day 230/December 2 - Swoosh!

Week 32 - Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week featured a couple of self-portraits, a couple of pond shots, and a couple of cute kid shots.  I also revisited my "leave on the stream" theme.

This week, great weather and a few days off from work allowed me to take outdoor shots. Winter will be coming soon...

Week 31 - New Nikon 105mm Lens (Flower Week)

I bought a new lens last weekend: a Nikon 105mm micro f/2.8 lens which supports micro (very close up) shots as well as regular shots at 105mm.   I spent most of the week taking close-up shots of colorful flowers.  It's been a lot of fun, and I think I took some interesting (and colorful) photos.

Here they are:

Week 29 - 5 Days Without Power

We got walloped with a mere 6" of snow on Saturday night, but it was enough to knock out power through out the region.  It took 5 days until power was restored for us.  During that time we spent 2 nights in hotels and slept in a 45 degree house the other nights.  I took photos, of course, but didn't get a chance to post-process until late in the week.  Here's my selection for the week:
