Week 32 - Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week featured a couple of self-portraits, a couple of pond shots, and a couple of cute kid shots.  I also revisited my "leave on the stream" theme.

This week, great weather and a few days off from work allowed me to take outdoor shots. Winter will be coming soon...

Week 31 - New Nikon 105mm Lens (Flower Week)

I bought a new lens last weekend: a Nikon 105mm micro f/2.8 lens which supports micro (very close up) shots as well as regular shots at 105mm.   I spent most of the week taking close-up shots of colorful flowers.  It's been a lot of fun, and I think I took some interesting (and colorful) photos.

Here they are:

Day 217/November 19 - Pink Flower Close-up

Day 216/November 18 - Red Flower Close-up

Day 215/November 17 - Rose #2

Day 214/November 16 - Indestructible Violets

Week 29 - 5 Days Without Power

We got walloped with a mere 6" of snow on Saturday night, but it was enough to knock out power through out the region.  It took 5 days until power was restored for us.  During that time we spent 2 nights in hotels and slept in a 45 degree house the other nights.  I took photos, of course, but didn't get a chance to post-process until late in the week.  Here's my selection for the week:

Day 203/November 5 - Paula and Willy's Wedding
